“Stay-cation” March 2014

This year I decided to take a week off work and not go anywhere.  

Normally I reserve all my 3 weeks’ vacation for when my husband is off, during the month of August, or at Christmas, Thanksgiving or Easter time, so that we can travel or just hang out together.  But this year I allotted myself a week of vacation where I wouldn’t be traveling, without the hassle of airports, rent-a-cars, hotels, packing, unpacking, etc.  I stayed home.  It felt like a real vacation!

With House of Cards Season 1 & 2 in my Netflix Queue, I didn’t move much on the first day of my staycation from the couch to the kitchen, minus cleaning other rooms in the house and doing some laundry.  Here’s what I made:

  2. Wow, you were busy, Sue! I love a good stay-cation where I can catch up on cooking and maintaining my house! Hope you had an awesome week at home, and by the looks of it, you did!

    • Thanks Ngan I didn’t realize how much I “did” until i documented it! My first staycation was a success!
